Access the Published Application and Desktop using Browser

To access public applications and desktops using a browser in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), you can leverage Azure Virtual Desktop's Web Access feature. This feature allows users to access their virtual desktops and published applications via a browser, eliminating the need for a client installation on the user's machine.

Access the Published Application and Desktop using Browser

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you access AVD via a browser:


Pre-requisite: Make sure the AVD Hostpool has been configured to perform the below task


Task-1 Access Published Application using Browser




Login the Azure portal >> Open new tab




To access the webclient: https://client.wvd.microsoft.com/arm/webclient 



The Published application is visible here to access the application you need to enter your AD or AVD credential here



Click on Allow & Enter your credential



The Microsoft Word application has been accessible and open >> Click on Sign in



Enter your AD or AVD credential (Your email id & password)




Now you can do your work on Microsoft Word !!


Task-2 Access the Published Desktop

To access the published desktop just open a new tab & search the URL -https://client.wvd.microsoft.com/arm/webclient



Click on Session Desktop Icon




Click on the Allow option





Enter your AD or AVD credentials 




Your desktop is now accessible and its ready to perform the tasks.




The desktop Logoff process >> Click on the Azure portal tab 




Click on the Azure Virtual Desktop




Click on users

 


Search your username ( which user is  currently logged in on Azure Virtual Desktop )




Click on the Session option (to see all the active session related to this user)




Click on the Log Off option




Once its gets successful response  



Click on the refresh button >> after click on refresh you can found the active user session will gone





Now go back on the Azure Virtual Desktop Session & you will be find the session has been disconnected or Logged off.
